R. James Woolsey
Mr. Woolsey, who has
been affiliated with the company since its inception, is a venture partner
with VantagePoint Venture Partners and specializes in a range of alternative
energy and security issues. Mr. Woolsey’s vast experience includes service
as the Annenberg Distinguished Visiting Fellow at the Hoover Institution at
Stanford University, chair of the Strategic Advisory Group of the private
equity fund Paladin Capital Group, service as a senior executive advisor to
the consulting firm Booz Allen Hamilton, service as official counsel to the
Washington office of the law firm of Goodwin Proctor, chair of the Advisory
Board of the Clean Fuels Council, chair of the Advisory Board of the New
Uses Council, Chair of the Board of Freedom House, and service on the
National Commission on Energy Policy. Mr. Woolsey also has twelve years of
experience working in government, holding presidential appointments in two
Democratic and two Republican administrations. From 1993 to 1995, Mr.
Woolsey served as the director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
